Boise School District Board of Trustees Issues Statement on Timberline Threats

(Boise, ID – 10/13/2026) – At their regularly monthly meeting, Boise School Board Trustees heard from district officials regarding the district’s response to the reports of online threats made by male students toward a female student.

The district’s Title IX Administrator, Robb Thomspon, gave the board a brief overview of how school district policies, Federal Title IX regulations and law enforcement operated together following the report of the threats, including measures to ensure the student’s safety at school. Mr. Thompson also provided the Trustees with documents describing the steps involved during a Title IX investigation.

Shelley Bonds, the Timberline Area Director, then provided Trustees with a detailed description of the timeline of events, including actions taken by the Boise Police Department, district administration, and school leadership, throughout last week. Mrs. Bonds also recognized the leadership team at Timberline High School, the partnership with Boise Police, and the support from district administration and the Board of the Trustees through a very difficult time.

Following the review of the information provided by district officials and the public meeting, the Board of Trustees has issued the following statement.
