Stronger Together; Hornets Forever!

Dear East Junior High Families,

As we wrap up another incredible school year at East Junior High, I want to take a moment to thank our students, staff, parents, and community for making this year such a success. Together, we have continued to build a school culture centered on excellence, support, and pride in being part of Hornet Nation.

This year brought many accomplishments worth celebrating. Our students achieved outstanding growth on the Idaho Standards Achievement Tests in reading, math and science, demonstrating the hard work happening every day in our classrooms. East students and staff also excelled beyond academics, earning five athletic championships and bringing home multiple awards in music competitions throughout the year.

One of our proudest moments came when our MathCounts team represented Idaho at the national tournament — the only team from Idaho to earn that honor. In addition, our students placed in the top three at Science Bowl, continuing East’s tradition of excellence in academic competition.

While these achievements are exciting, what stands out most is the work we have done together to strengthen our school culture. This year we focused on culture, consistency, and collaboration. Our students continued to grow in citizenship, perseverance, and responsibility, and our staff worked hard to create a positive and supportive environment where every student can succeed. Because of that collective effort, East Junior High continues to become stronger together.

To our 9th grade students and families, congratulations on reaching this important milestone. We are proud of the young people you have become and are excited to see all you accomplish in high school. Once a Hornet, always a Hornet — Hornets Forever.
Thank you again for your partnership and support throughout the school year. We hope your family has a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall for another great year at East Junior High.

Stronger Together — Hornets Forever!
Dr. Chris Taylor
