Wednesday, January 18
  • Attention all 7th and 8th Graders: Coach Haley will be here today, January 18th to talk to anyone interested in Club Wrestling.  We will meet in the Aux. Gym at 11:45.
  • Attention, freshmen interested in coming out for Track & Field at Timberline this spring. The Head Track Coach (Coach Gonser) will be here to meet with you on Wednesday January 25 @ 12:15 in the auxiliary gym. We will preview the outdoor season and discuss the paperwork requirements for each athlete.
  • Chess Club will meet today during lunch in Rm. 217 for 7th/8th graders and 219 for 9th graders. See you there.
  • All 7th and 8th grade boys who are interested in playing basketball for East, if you missed last Friday’s meeting, please go sign up with Coach Johnson in Room 106. Remember that Tryouts start next Monday, January 23rd will start at 3:45 due to PLC. Tuesday will be at 2:45 start.

  • Attention, talented East students.  Auditions for this year’s Variety Show will be held on January 24 and 27 after school. We are looking for a wide variety of fun acts so don’t be shy!  We are also looking for a pair of MCs or masters of ceremony to host the show.  Sign up in pairs if you’d like to MC and be ready to tell some jokes and show off your stage presence. A sign up sheet is posted outside of the choir room.  Listen carefully to the requirements to participate:
  • if singing, please provide 3 copies of song lyrics and make sure lyrics are school appropriate
  • all acts must be 3 ½ minutes or less… no exceptions!!!
  • If you’re singing a song that needs a back up track (CD, karaoke, iPod) you need to provide that.  We will not be looking anything up on Youtube!
  • we will provide microphones, amps, drum set and a CD player….all other equipment must be provided by you. (We will be able to plug in iPods)

  • Today in intramurals we have Aramburu vs McHargue during 1st lunch and Dean vs Dittrich during 2nd lunch.
  • The Idaho Chess Association will be holding its state qualifier chess tournament on Saturday, January 21st at the Fort Boise Senior Center.  For more information, please visit www.idahochessassociation.com or pick up a flyer in the office.
  • Timberline Dance Team is hosting a dance camp on Saturday, January 21st from 10:00-1:00 for 7th and 8th graders; cost is $35.00
